Mission

SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education is committed to providing a comprehensive variety of high quality programs that reflect the lifelong learning interests of our local population. These non-credit courses, workshops, and seminars are intended to provide opportunities for personal enrichment, skills enhancement, and professional development to the public sector, private industry, and the community at large.

Overview

Continuing Education is committed to fostering the type of environment in which students can enjoy their learning experiences and offers high quality programs presented by qualified, experienced instructors. Our professional staff coordinate classes year round for students of all ages, offering a wide variety of programming to meet the diverse needs of the community. Classes are offered in the fall and spring semesters for area residents, in addition to summer programs for kids and teens. Continuing Education also works with organizations and businesses in the region to provide customized training for employees.

Community Connections

Continuing Education professionals regularly confer with various community organizations including local schools and PTAs, the Workforce Investment Board, the One-Stop Career Centers of Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties, local chambers of commerce, and BOCES. This outreach enables Continuing Education to stay abreast of what’s happening both in the business community and the region at large. Continuing Education partners with organizations in the region to offer special educational programs annually like Girls Go STEM and National Manufacturing and STEAM Day. Many Continuing Education classes are taught by regional business owners and professionals, area experts and SUNY Adirondack faculty.
