ANT 107 Ancient World Civilizations

The course will briefly review human cultural chronology from the earliest Paleolithic ages and examine not only the archaeology of ancient civilizations but also important social, economic, and ideological questions such as the emergence of ancient states and empires, origin of food production, social inequality, and urbanization. Select ancient cultures from around the world are examined in depth.
