CIS 135 Network Security I
Students are introduced to the principles of information security and present on current security issues such as industrial espionage, attacks and breaches, and analyze IT laws and associated legal and business implications. To mitigate IT vulnerabilities, students will evaluate security frameworks and policies, development life cycles, ethical principles, and risk management and recovery through continuity strategies incorporating disaster recovery planning. To assure information security on the network and at end points, students will compare various security hardware, software and encryption methods. Digital forensics and evidence handling concepts and associated tools are introduced.
