ENG 207 American Literature Since 1945

A study of the formal and thematic characteristics of postmodern literature in the.US. We'll discuss a wide variety of the rapidly evolving body of American literature written after the end of WW2, including feminist, Black, Indigenous, other People of Color, experimental, environmental, LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, plus non-­straight, non-cisgender identities) and other work, including literary and cultural criticism, the graphic novel, and the influence on and of film.
