PED 240 Mens and Womens Cross Country

Students registering for this course should have some proficiency at the skill of distance running. The program offers the student/athlete the opportunity to participate in intercollegiate level and to be challenged to achieve academically, socially and athletically. To remain in the course, students will have to be qualified for (not necessarily make) the team by posting competitive running times as proscribed by the coach. This course combined with established personal relationships will provide the basis for an outstanding educational experience. The course is open to full-time students only and is based on fulfilling specific NJCAA eligibility requirements. The student athletes, representing SUNY Adirondack, will participate in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference (MVCC) cross country meets, and possibly qualify for the NJCAA Regional and National Cross Country Championships in this season depending on its seasonal performance.
