SCI 155 Environmental Issues in the Adirondacks
An introductory survey course of environmental concepts and issues, using the Adirondack Park as a case study. Issues will be explored from all sides, including ecological, biological, social, economic, and philosophical. Taught from a interdisciplinary approach and includes chapters from texts, journal and newspaper articles, environmental education curriculum, etc. Identifies issues and controversies surrounding the environment and illustrates why they are issues. Does NOT count as a laboratory science course.
