TEC 223 Motors and Controls

A study of the characteristics of both AC and DC motors, and the various methodologies used to control them. Topics include, but are not limited to; Three phase magnetic starters, Overload, Control and Time-Delay Relays, Contactors, Pilot Control, Interlocking, EMO’s, VFD’s and Ladder Schematics. Extensive laboratory projects, culminating with controlling a motor via a PLC.
