Dear SUNY Adirondack Student,

On behalf of the board of trustees, faculty and staff, I am pleased to welcome you to SUNY Adirondack.

Pursuing higher education is one of the most significant investments you can make in your personal and

professional growth, and I commend you for choosing to embark on this rewarding and challenging journey.

We are dedicated to your success and look forward to providing a variety of in person, remote and hybrid

instruction and services. We are eagerly anticipating your arrival. Whether you choose to study at one of

our campus locations, remotely, or a combination of both, we offer an affordable, high-quality education

that serves a diverse student body with a wide range of life experiences and goals. I encourage you to engage

in your education with an open mind and heart. You will meet new people who may differ from you, but

who share the common goal of education. Our role is to challenge your thinking, introduce you to alternative

perspectives, and prepare you for an ever-changing world where learning is a lifelong endeavor.

This handbook provides answers to the many questions you may have, and I’m confident you will find it

helpful. However, don’t let your guidance end here. Please take advantage of our faculty and student

services to help you successfully achieve your higher education goals. We are here to support you—just

ask.
