ART 255 Topics in Media Arts
A capstone course for students in the Media Arts program designed to give students an opportunity to pursue individual projects in the media arts. The course covers topics in media arts through a variety of approaches that may include digital media, graphic publications, exhibitions, advertising campaigns, the Internet, and audio and video production. Emphasis is on the relationship between graphic design, photography, and video and the media industries, professional practices, freelance work, copyright law, and contracts. Students will plan, organize, and create workable projects for specific media outlets. Class projects will be on display in a public exhibit. Pre-requisite: 24 credits in Media Arts Core Curriculum.
