BUS 203 Social Media, Advertising and Promotion
A survey of modern promotion theory based on sociological, psychological and management principles. The element of social media will be a focus as well as advertising, personal selling, public relations, word of mouth and sales promotion. Role of promotion in marketing, individual and buyer behavior, communication, personal selling, and sales management. Local companies/situations may be examined and promotional plans developed. Students will follow the standards to have the opportunity to become certified in HootSuite, a social media dashboard system.
