FRN 102 Elementary French II

This course concludes the introduction to the basic elements of the French language and deepens understanding of Francophone cultures. Students will expand their communicative and intercultural competence by studying social issues relevant to their lives, and by taking an in-depth look at the diversity of the Francophone world. The course integrates language and culture, and promotes all three communication modes (interpersonal, interpretative, and presentational) using a task-based approach. Cultural diversity is studied through a variety of texts (news, articles, songs, non-fiction narratives, and short films, etc.). For students who have completed FRN 101 or two years of high school French.
