SUNY Adirondack offers a two-year Liberal Arts and Sciences Associate in Science (AS) degree in Mathematics and Science with a concentration in Chemistry. This program awards a two-year AS degree and sets a solid base for students to transfer to a four-year institution. This concentration prepares students for further education and eventual careers in several fields such as: analytical chemist, chemical engineer, healthcare scientist (clinical biochemistry), forensic scientist, research scientist (physical sciences), toxicologist, pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, nursing, veterinary medicine, and secondary education. Recommended high school preparation: Biology, chemistry, physics and four years of math.
