MAT 101 Contemporary Math through Applications

The course will have a strong foundation in authentic learning, using visual material to present mathematical concepts in a real-life context. Basic concepts in geometry and algebra will be covered through the viewing of videos, texts, as well as visual art, nature and architecture. Due to the critical thinking and writing that is required, this course is intended for students who have passed 21 credits, have placed out of or successfully completed MAT 090 and successfully completed ENG 101.
