AGR 112 Agro-Ecology
This course introduces students to core concepts in ecology as they relate to agricultural systems. Lectures discuss the development of agroecosystem approaches, and examine the ecological workings and interactions of crop plants, soils, farm animals, the environment, society and modern agriculture. Weekly lab sessions practice ecological agriculture on our local farms, involving students in sustainable food production, soil health management, and analysis of environmental and social factors in agriculture.
