ENG 263 Tutor Training: Theory and Practice

An introduction to theory in writing, reading, pedagogy, and tutoring strategies useful for writers, future teachers, tutors, or editors in any discipline, particularly students majoring in Liberal Arts, English, or Creative Writing. In addition to discussions and practice tutorials, students develop their own writing skills and styles. A four-hour practicum in the Center for Reading and Writing is required beginning the ninth week of the course. Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in ENG 100B or ENG 101.
