NUR 121 Stress Management for Nurses
The course will be an introduction to factors that cause stress in our lives and in the workplace for nurses. If not addressed in a healthy way, burnout occurs, affecting personal lives and professional lives. The patient potentially will be affected as well. The current nursing shortage has been documented to have a certain percentage of nurses leaving the field related to burnout. The participants will discuss the process of stress and learn various techniques to identify and reduce stress. These strategies and techniques will be practiced and presented to the class.
