NUR 122 Introduction to Epidemiology
Focus of this course will be an introduction to epidemiology. The basic concepts and methods of epidemiology will be introduced and applied to health care delivery and professional nursing practice. Patterns of acute and chronic disease occurrences and progression will be introduced. The utilization of epidemiological information to reduce risk across populations, prevent disease, and optimize health among communities will be introduced. Prerequisite: Admission in the Nursing Program.
