Digital technology and the Internet are pushing a global revolution in the news and entertainment industries. With social media, web streaming, podcasting and traditional television and radio channels competing for a share of the audience, the demand for video and audio content is skyrocketing. The Broadcast Media Production A.A.S. program prepares students to be content creators for all of these media platforms. Through coursework, applied learning opportunities and co-curricular activities, students acquire the design, writing and production skills to inform, entertain and persuade audiences. Program graduates work as television directors, video editors, television news photographers, on-air radio talent, media production coordinators and video production assistants. Recommended High School Preparation: Speech, Computer and English Writing-related courses.
